Kavet Impex

At Kavet Impex, we work out of 162 Gandhi Nagar in Attur. It’s a familiar spot for us, and we’ve been operating from this location for quite a while now. The building is a simple one, nothing that stands out on the street, but it works for what we need to do. Gandhi Nagar is a busy little part of town, so there is always some activity going on outside our windows. We handle a variety of impex tasks, which mostly involves us sitting at our desks and making sure the logistics are all lined up correctly. It’s not the kind of job that has a lot of excitement, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We don’t have a big staff, just a few local people who know the trade well. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep the paperwork from piling up too high on the cabinets. Attur is a nice place to be based because everyone knows everyone else, so it feels very connected. We don’t bother with fancy business talk or anything like that. If someone asks what we do, we just say we move goods from one place to another. It’s a lot of checking lists and double-checking weights and measures. We just focus on getting the work done day by day. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until the lights come back on and we can get back to the computers.
