We’ve been running Rathore Exim from our spot at No. 16 Devendrapuram 2nd Street for a good bit now. It’s a quiet enough street, but inside the office, things stay pretty steady. We mostly spend our time dealing with shipments and talking to people on the phone about where things are. It’s not the kind of job where you sit around much. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks and we have to stay late to clear it all out, but that’s just how it goes when you’re managing an export business. We aren't a huge team, so everyone kind of does a bit of everything. One day I might be checking labels and the next I'm stuck behind a computer screen for eight hours straight. The neighborhood knows us by now. People walk past the door and give a nod while we’re loading things up or checking the manifest. It’s hard work, and some days are definitely smoother than others. We’ve learned over the years that things rarely go exactly as planned, so we just adapt and keep moving forward. Dealing with different time zones means the coffee pot is usually full by early morning. We just try to do right by the folks we work with and make sure the boxes get where they’re supposed to go. It’s basic, honest work and we’re just glad to be doing it here in this part of town.
