Ganesh Rice Mill

The mill is located at 5 and 64/63 on Attur Main Road, right in Masinaickenpatti. It’s a loud place because the machines are usually running most of the day. You can hear the hum from the street. We’ve been processing grain here for a long time. It’s a family business and the building has been through a lot of seasons. The floor is concrete and always has a thin layer of dust on it no matter how much we sweep. We handle mostly local crops that farmers bring in. It’s hard work and the heat from the motors makes the summer days pretty tough. We don't have an office staff or anyone to answer emails. Usually, if you want something, you just shout over the noise or wait until we take a break. We keep some of the finished bags stacked up near the front for people to buy. The trucks come and go at all hours. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to spend half the day fixing it with grease and old tools. It isn't a clean or quiet job, but it’s what we know how to do. Most of the people around here depend on us to get their grain ready. It’s just a basic mill on the side of the main road.
