Annapoorna Exports & Imports

You can find us at 24, 5th Cross, on Brindavan Road in the Fairlands area. It’s a relatively quiet street compared to the main roads in Salem. Annapoorna Exports & Imports is run out of a building that feels more like a house than a corporate office. We deal with bringing goods in and sending them out, which involves a lot of phone calls to people in different time zones. Our desks are usually covered in shipping manifests and sticky notes. We don't have a big sign out front or anything flashy. Most people find us through word of mouth. The fans in the office keep the heat away, and we usually have the radio playing softly in the background. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to do our jobs well and go home to our families. Sometimes a shipment gets stuck at the port and we have to spend all day sorting it out, but that's just part of the trade. We drink a lot of coffee and tea while we wait for news. Fairlands is a nice place to work, and we’ve been here long enough that the neighbors know us. It’s a straightforward business with no hidden extras. We just handle the logistics and hope the weather stays good for the ships out at sea.
