You’ll find us on the Gangoh Nanauta Road, right in the Gangoh area of Saharanpur. It’s a busy road with lots of trucks and buses passing by heading towards the bigger towns. The school itself is a bit of a landmark for people traveling this way. We have a decent-sized building and some open space around it. The air is a bit dustier because of the road, but we try to keep the inside of the school clean. We start the day when the sun is barely up, getting the classrooms ready for the students. Most of the children come from the nearby villages and the town of Gangoh itself. We have a set of teachers who are quite regular and have been with us for a while. The school day is filled with the usual noise of kids talking and teachers lecturing. We have some basic play equipment outside and a small office where we handle all the administrative stuff. It’s not a very complicated operation. We just follow the standard school year and try to keep up with the paperwork. Saharanpur can get quite cold in the winter and very hot in the summer, so we adjust our timings a little bit when we have to. We see the same parents every day at the gate and have become part of the local community here. It’s just a regular school on a busy road, doing the work of educating the local kids as best as we can. We stay busy with the books.
