Baba Ghumra Dev Inter College is located out in Chakwali, which is part of the Saharanpur district. It’s a quiet area compared to the main city, which makes it a good place for a school. We’ve been operating here for quite some time now. The building is a simple brick structure that has stood through many seasons. We don't have fancy air conditioning or high-tech gadgets in every room. We have desks, chairs, and teachers who know their subjects. Many of our students come from the farming families nearby. They walk or cycle to get here every morning. It’s a local place through and through. You’ll often see teachers chatting with parents by the gate about how the crops are doing or how the kids are behaving. It is good to be a part of the Chakwali community. The days are long, especially when exam season approaches, but the students are hardworking. We try to keep the grounds tidy, though the dust from the road always finds its way in. It’s just life in this part of Saharanpur. We aren't trying to be the biggest or most famous college around. We just want to make sure the kids in this village have a place to study without having to go too far from home. It’s a basic setup, but it works for us and the families who rely on us year after year.
