Golden Star International School

Golden Star International School is located on Village Road in Kandhala, which is part of Muzaffarnagar. Despite the name sounding a bit fancy, we are a very down-to-earth place. The school is situated in a spot where things are a bit quieter than the main city center. We have a decent-sized building with several rooms for the different classes. The road outside can get a bit crowded with tractors and carts during harvest season, so it's always a bit of a shuffle getting the kids inside safely. We have a playground that is mostly just a flat piece of land, but it gets used for everything from sports to morning assemblies. The interior of the school is painted in simple colors, and we have charts on the walls that the teachers made themselves. We don't have a lot of high-tech gadgets, just good old-fashioned blackboards and textbooks. The teachers are a mix of young people and some who have been teaching for decades. They all share the same goal of making sure the kids in Kandhala get a decent start in life. Parents often stop by the gate to chat with us about their children’s progress or just to see what's happening. It feels more like a big family than a formal institution most days. We deal with the usual problems like power cuts and heat, but we just keep going. It's a steady life here on Village Road and we like it that way.
