About Seventh Day Adventist Inter College – Education in Saharanpur
We've been here at The Retreat in Roorkee for a long time now. People around here know us as the Seventh Day Adventist Inter College. It’s just a normal place where kids come to learn their subjects and get through their exams. The campus is tucked away a bit near Post Box 46, which keeps things quiet enough for the classrooms to function without too much outside noise. We don't have fancy gadgets everywhere, but the desks are sturdy and the teachers show up every morning ready to work. Some of the buildings are older, showing their age in the corners and the peeling paint, but they hold a lot of history for the families in this town. Students walk through the gates, drop their heavy bags, and get straight to it. We deal with the usual school stuff—noisy hallways during break, chalk dust on everything, and the yearly rush for admissions that keeps the office staff busy. It’s not a flashy life here. We just focus on the books and making sure the kids understand what's being taught. Sometimes the heavy rain makes the grounds a bit messy and muddy, but we clean it up. We have the standard labs and a library that gets used quite a bit during study hours. It’s a community effort, really. Parents come by to talk about grades, and we listen. We aren't trying to change the world overnight; we just want the students to pass their grades. It’s steady work.
