Jaish Wooden Arts is over in Mansoor Colony, near Ndra Chowk. If you are looking for us, the best way is to find Shakila Masjid first. We are located in Mukhiya Wali Gali, which is one of those narrow streets where you can hear the calls to prayer quite clearly throughout the day. The workshop is always filled with the smell of wood and the sound of cutting and sanding. It’s a very hands-on place. There is sawdust on almost every surface, no matter how much we try to sweep it up. We don’t have a fancy display area or an air-conditioned office. It’s just a raw workspace where the real work happens. The walls are lined with various planks and pieces of wood waiting to be turned into something. Our neighbors are mostly other small shops and families living their lives, so there is a real sense of community in the Gali. It’s not a place for high-end business meetings. You’ll likely find us in our work clothes, covered in dust and focused on a project. We don’t have a polished website or a big marketing team. We just have our hands and the tools that have been with us for years. It’s a bit noisy and messy, but it’s where we feel most at home. If you walk down the Gali and hear the wood being worked, you’ve probably found us.
