Faisal Wooden Handicrafts

Faisal Wooden Handicrafts is located right on Mandi Samiti Road, near the Faisal Nursery. If you are walking toward Mehandi Sarai, you can usually smell the fresh cut wood before you even see our sign. It is a busy road with lots of trucks and carts going by all day. We have been working with wood in this spot for a long time. The shop is filled with logs and half-finished pieces that lean against the walls. We don't have a showroom with air conditioning or fancy displays. Our work happens right where the wood is piled up. We use old saws and chisels that have been in the family for years. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just how things are here. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just like the feel of wood and the way it turns into something useful after a few days of work. My younger brother helps with the heavier lifting, and we usually have tea together around noon. It’s not an easy job, and our backs often ache by the evening, but it’s what we know how to do. The nursery next door is nice because it brings some greenery to the dusty road. We just keep our heads down and keep sawing until the job is done for the customer.
