Friend Handicrafts

Our place is over on Ambala Road, right near the Postal Training Centre. It’s actually at House No. 54, so it feels more like a home than a big factory. We started Friend Handicrafts because we liked making things with our hands. It's a small team here. Most of us grew up around this kind of work, watching our parents or neighbors do it. The space is a bit cramped because we have materials piled up in the corners. Wood, fabric, and bits of metal are everywhere. Sometimes the road outside gets really noisy with all the trucks going by, but we've gotten used to it. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you come by, you’ll see us actually working on the pieces. There’s usually some sawdust on the floor or the smell of polish in the air. We try to keep things simple. We don't go in for big advertisements or anything. People usually find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend. It's a quiet kind of life, just focusing on the next item we have to finish. We drink a lot of tea while we work and talk about the news. It’s just a regular local business trying to do things right. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the work we do is solid. That’s what matters most to us at the end of the day.
