Royal Engineering

Our workshop is on the New Bye Pass Road in Mullanpur Garidass, which most people call New Chandigarh now. We are right across from the Allahabad Bank and near the Sukh Sagar Nursing Home. It’s a good location because it’s easy for folks to point out where we are. Royal Engineering is a small shop. We handle different kinds of engineering tasks and repairs. It’s mostly metal work and fixing things that people bring in. The road outside is always getting busier with all the new construction happening around here. We’ve seen the area change a lot lately. Inside the shop, it’s pretty much the same as it’s always been. We’ve got our tools, our benches, and some grease on the floor. It’s not a place for someone wearing a suit. We spend our days getting our hands dirty. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a minute while we work. We try to keep things organized, but when you have a lot of projects going at once, it gets a bit cluttered. We aren't trying to be fancy. We just do the work and hope it holds up well. It’s a decent way to make a living. We open up the shutters in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. If you need something fixed, you can usually find one of us standing near the front or back by the machines. We enjoy the local vibe and the work itself.
