Rollcon Engineering is situated in Mohali, specifically in Industrial Area Phase 2 at plot B-21. This part of Mohali has changed a lot since we first started. It used to be much quieter, but now there are workshops and units everywhere you look. Our place is basically a big shed where we do all the engineering and assembly. We deal with conveyors and heavy rollers. There is always the sound of welding or grinding happening in the background. It’s a very hands-on environment. Most of us have grease under our fingernails by lunch. We don't have any polished receptionists or fancy waiting rooms. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us in our work shirts moving parts around. The office is just a small partitioned space with a couple of old wooden desks. We keep our blueprints and designs in big metal cupboards that have seen better days. It gets really cold here in the winters, so we all wrap up in sweaters and keep the tea kettle going constantly. In the summer, the fans just move the hot air around, but we get used to it. We just try to build things that won't break. Most of our clients are other factories that need to move materials from one place to another. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just a reliable one in our neighborhood.
