Vijan Nursing School

Over at Chapu Toli Chowk in Argora, we run this nursing school. It’s a place where things have to be done a certain way because nursing is serious business. Our students spend a lot of time in their uniforms, learning how to take care of people properly. The building isn't a hospital, but we try to keep it organized and clean. There’s a lot of talk about anatomy and medicine in the hallways every day. We have some equipment for practice, like hospital beds and basic medical tools, so the students can get a feel for the job before they go out into real clinics. Ranchi needs more healthcare workers, so we just try to train them well enough to hold their own. It’s not an easy course, and some find it harder than others. We give them their books and we show them the techniques. The location is easy to find if you know the Argora area. We’ve been here for a bit, and we’ve seen many groups of students pass through and move on to jobs in different hospitals. It’s honest work for us and for them. We don't have a lot of extra frills. The classrooms are for learning and the labs are for practice. We just focus on making sure they know their duties when they leave us. It's a quiet building most days, but very busy during the exam months.
