Montfort School

Montfort School is up in the Hathiagonda area near the university in Ranchi. Ranchi is a nice place with a bit of a cooler breeze than the plains, and our school sits in a spot that feels a bit more open. We have been here for a while, and many people in the city know our name. The school day starts early, and you can see the students coming up the road in their uniforms from all directions. We have a good amount of space, but we still find ourselves wishing for more room sometimes. The building is solid and has survived many monsoons over the years. Inside, it is just rows of desks and blackboards with chalk dust. Our teachers are mostly local people who have been with us for years. They know the families and the siblings of the kids they teach. We do not have any big corporate goals or missions. We just want to make sure the children learn their lessons and behave themselves while they are here. There is a lot of paperwork to deal with, and the office always seems to have a stack of forms waiting to be signed by the principal. We have a small playground where the kids get a bit of exercise during the day. It is a plain, hardworking school. We do not try to be anything we are not. We just show up every day and do the work required.
