J K International School is right here at Daladili Chowk on Ratu Road. It’s been a part of this Ranchi neighborhood for quite a while now. We see the same faces every morning when the kids arrive and the parents drop them off before heading to work. The building isn't anything fancy, but it does the job. Most of us who work here live close by, so we know the families and the local issues like the traffic near the chowk. Usually, the day starts with a lot of noise in the hallways. We try to keep things organized, though it gets a bit chaotic during lunch breaks. The classrooms have enough desks and the teachers spend their time going over lessons. We don't have a giant marketing team or anything like that. It is just a school where we teach the basics and try to get the children through their exams. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open the windows for some air. It's practical and straightforward here. People know where to find us if they need to talk about their kids' grades or a missing notebook. We deal with the usual stuff like broken chalk and scraped knees on the playground. It’s just how it is in this part of Ranchi. We keep the gates open early so the early birds can come in. It’s a busy spot but we manage.
