Md Shahnawaz Alam runs Ibmjobs4U from Millat Colony in the Bariatu area of Ranchi. This is part of Ranchi 9, and it’s a fairly quiet residential neighborhood most of the time. We don't have a big corporate office with a lobby or a security guard at the front. Instead, Shahnawaz works out of a simple setup right in the colony. Bariatu is known for having a lot of hospitals and schools, so there are always people moving around, but Millat Colony stays pretty peaceful. The roads can get a bit muddy when it rains heavily, which happens quite a lot in this part of Jharkhand. We don't have any fancy posters or a big glowing sign to show where we are. It’s just a regular house where we handle everything related to the job services. Shahnawaz is a local guy who knows the area very well. He doesn't go for big talk or corporate promises. He just sits at his desk and tries to help people find work. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a few hours in the afternoon, and we just have to wait it out or work by the window light. It’s not a perfect setup by any means, but it’s what we have and it works for us. The neighbors all know Shahnawaz, and sometimes they drop by for a quick chat. It’s a very grounded way to do business, without all the polish you find in the bigger cities. We just keep things moving one day at a time.
