Data Operator

In Ranchi, over at Shyamali Colony in Doranda, life is pretty settled. Our workspace is located at Nsandhya Qrno J 14, which is basically a residential quarter turned into a small office for data work. It’s a leafy area with plenty of trees, so it’s much quieter than the main market parts of the city. We sit here and handle various data operator duties, mostly just processing forms and updating spreadsheets. The room we work in is simple, with curtains that we pull shut when the afternoon sun gets too bright on the monitors. There’s a small garden area outside where we sometimes sit for ten minutes to clear our heads. It’s a very local, home-style environment where we don't feel the need to dress up or act like we are in a high-rise building. We just do our work, chat a little about local news, and make sure the power backup is ready for the frequent cuts. The keyboard sounds are the main thing you hear inside. It feels more like a neighborly setup than a business, really. We know the people living in the other quarters, and they know we are the ones doing the computer work in J 14. We don’t have a big mission or any corporate goals, we just want to get through the daily pile of work and make sure everything is saved right. It’s a steady, quiet way to spend the day.
