Freelance

Our place is located in Kusai Colony, Doranda, right in Ranchi. It’s part of the T C Division area near the Surendra Prasad Singh residence. We work out of a house here, which makes the whole day feel a bit more relaxed. The office is just a few rooms filled with desks and a lot of cords. We’ve been running Freelance out of this house for a while, and the neighbors are used to seeing us coming and going. Ranchi has its own pace, and we definitely feel that here. Some days the weather is great, and we leave the windows open, but other times the dust from the road means we have to keep everything shut tight. We don't have any fancy meeting rooms or glass partitions. If we need to talk, we just shout across the room. It’s a very simple setup. The furniture is a bit old, and the chairs might squeak, but they do the job. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished look. We just want to get through our work and go home. It’s a very local, small-scale way of doing things. We deal with the usual power cuts and local issues like everyone else in the colony. It’s just a normal part of our daily routine here. Most of us grew up around these parts anyway, so it feels right to be working here. There isn't much more to it than that.
