Chhabra Traders

Chhabra Traders is right in the middle of Upper Bazar, specifically in Ward Number 20 on N Market Road. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets. There are shops everywhere and people pushing carts through the narrow lanes all day. Our shop is one of those places where we’ve been for years. We deal in various trading goods that come in from all over. The space inside is quite small, and we have boxes stacked all the way to the ceiling. It’s hard to move around sometimes, but we know exactly where everything is kept. Our morning starts with opening the shutters and sweeping the front. We get a lot of walk-in customers and other traders looking to bargain. It’s a noisy environment with all the shouting and the horns from the street, but that’s just the life of a market trader. We don't bother with fancy brochures or a website. Most of our deals are done with a handshake and a cup of tea. My family has been doing this for a long time. We’ve seen many shops come and go on N Market Road. We just keep our heads down and focus on the daily tally. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door, so we have to move the bags. It’s just an honest day's work in a busy part of town.
