Baba Trading Company

Baba Trading Company is situated on Bano Manzil Road. To be more specific, we are in the Pahari Mandir Lane, right by Gadikhana Chowk. It’s a very busy intersection, so there is always something happening outside. Between the temple traffic and the people crossing the chowk, it stays loud from morning until evening. Our place is tucked into the lane, which gives us a little bit of a break from the main road noise, but not much. It’s a small space, and we have it filled with all the goods we trade. Sometimes it’s hard to move around when a new shipment arrives. We have a small table where we sit to drink our chai and go over the accounts. We don’t use computers for everything; a lot of it is still written down in the big red books. The lighting isn't the best, so we use some extra lamps when it gets dark early in the winter. We have been at this location for a good while, and we’ve gotten to know all the other traders in the lane. We help each other out when someone’s truck is blocking the way or when we need a bit of change for a customer. It’s a community feeling here. We aren't looking to become some massive corporation. We just want to keep the business running and stay part of the life here at Gadikhana Chowk. It’s what we know.
