Agrawal Plastic is right here in Daltonganj. We’re located near the Sabji Market, so there’s always a lot of activity and people around. The smell of fresh vegetables and the noise of the market are things we hear every day. It’s a lively spot to have a business. Our workshop isn’t very big, but we manage to get a lot done in the space we have. Working with plastic in such a busy area means we have to be organized, or things get messy fast. We’ve been part of this community for a long time now. People know they can just walk in and talk to us. We don’t have any formal systems or big computers for everything. Most of it is done by hand or with the machines we’ve had for years. It’s a practical way to run things. Sometimes the market traffic makes it hard for deliveries to get through, but we just work around it. We like being in Daltonganj; it feels like the heart of the town. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just make plastic goods and try to do a decent job of it. It’s a simple life, and we’re happy to be here doing our bit every day. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, especially with the machines running, but that's just life. We try to keep things moving and stay on good terms with the neighbors.
