Yadav Building Materials

Yadav Building Materials is right here in Upleta, sitting on Porbandar Road. Being so close to the Upleta St Bus Stand makes it easy for people to spot us when they are passing through. It is just a regular shop where we keep all the things people need to build a house or fix a wall. My brothers and I run the place most days. The yard out back is always a bit of a mess with piles of sand and bricks stacked up wherever they fit. Sometimes the dust from the cement bags gets everywhere, especially when the wind blows hard off the road. We have a small desk inside that is covered in old receipts and a heavy ledger book. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. We mostly just sit on plastic chairs and talk to the guys who come in with their tractors and trucks. The traffic from the bus stand can get quite loud in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to work. We have been in this same spot for a long time now. People know they can find us here from early morning until the sun goes down. We don’t really do any big advertising or anything like that. Most folks just know the name because they see the sign every day. It’s a simple way to live and work, just selling what people need to get their own jobs finished.
