We set up Khodiyar Building Material Suppliers right on the Main Road. It’s convenient because we’re right near the Panchayat Office, so most folks around here pass by us at some point. Dealing with building materials is heavy work. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks. Cement, bricks, and whatever else people need for their construction projects. It gets pretty dusty out here. I’ve been doing this for a few years now. The location near the Panchayat Office makes it easy to give directions. Usually, I just tell people to look for the big stacks of materials on the Main Road. Some days it’s quiet, just waiting for the phone to ring or a driver to show up. Other days everyone wants their stuff at the same time. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a yard and a place to keep the inventory dry. We see a lot of the same faces, local builders and people fixing up their own homes. The road gets busy during the day. We try to keep things organized but with all this sand and stone, it’s hard to stay clean. It’s just how the business is. We open up early and stay until the work is finished. Nothing too complicated about it. We just provide the materials folks ask for and try to keep the stock moving. It’s hard work but it pays the bills and keeps us active in the community.
