The Rajkumar College

The Rajkumar College has been sitting right across from the Gymkhana on Dr. Radhakrishnan Road for a long time. If you live in Rajkot, you probably pass by us every day. Our grounds are quite large and we have these old buildings that have seen many generations of students come and go. It’s a busy place. From the moment the gates open in the morning, there is always something happening. We have kids running around, teachers heading to their rooms, and the usual noise you expect from a school. It is not a quiet office environment, that’s for sure. We don’t really do all that flashy advertising you see these days. People just know we are here. The staff stays busy with the day-to-day stuff, like fixing chairs or organizing the library books. Sometimes the weather in Gujarat gets really hot, and everyone just tries to stay cool under the trees during break. It feels like a small community inside these walls. We have different buildings for different things, and sometimes it takes a while to walk from one end to the other. We just keep the routine going. Lessons, lunch, some sports on the field, and then everyone goes home. It is a straightforward way of doing things. No big secrets or fancy speeches, just a regular school day for the kids in Rajkot. We are just a part of the landscape here after all these years.
