Our school is located at number 85 in Methan, which is part of the Dhragandhra area here in Surendranagar. If you are driving down the main road, you will see our gate. It is a place where a lot of local kids from the nearby farms and houses spend their day. Life moves at a bit of a slower pace here in Gujarat, and we try to keep up with everything. The building itself is older, with thick walls that help a bit when the summer heat gets really intense. We have desks that have seen better days, but they do the job just fine. Every morning, the staff arrives and we start setting up the benches. There is always someone sweeping the front steps or fixing a leaky tap in the washrooms. We don't really do big advertisements or anything. Most people know us because their older brothers or sisters came here too. During the break, the kids sit under the trees to eat their tiffin, and the noise level gets pretty high, which is normal for a school. We focus on the daily lessons, grading papers, and keeping the records straight in the office. It isn't always perfect, and sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour or two, but we just open the windows wider and keep going with the lesson. It's just a regular part of the community here. Most of our time is spent making sure the students are where they need to be.
