Tapovan School

Our school is located right on the 150 Feet Ring Road in Rajkot, which is a really busy part of town. We are just opposite the Pearl Woman Hospital and near Govardhan Chowk, so it is easy to explain to people where we are. The traffic outside is always moving fast, but inside the gate, it is a whole different world. We have the usual school building with classrooms that get a lot of sun in the afternoons. During the break, the playground gets quite dusty because of the Rajkot wind, but the kids do not seem to mind it at all. We have the morning assembly where everyone stands in rows, and you can hear the prayers from the road. The teachers usually gather in the small staff room to have their tiffins during the lunch hour. It is a very local place, and most of the students come from the nearby residential colonies. We have been here for years, watching the Ring Road get busier and more buildings go up around us. The school building has its quirks, like the one door that always squeaks, but it is our space. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure the students are actually sitting in their seats. It is not a fancy private academy with marble floors, just a regular school where we do our work every day. We know the parents and they know us, which makes things simple.
