Sun Technocast

Our foundry is over at Parshuram Industrial Estate-1, which is tucked behind Manada Dunger on the Bhavanagar Road. Sun Technocast has a pretty decent view of the hill, though we don’t spend much time looking at it during the day. The work here is all about casting, so the furnaces are the heart of the whole operation. It gets very bright and hot when the metal is being poured into the molds. We have the usual industrial setup with molds spread out across the floor and sand everywhere. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here from the main city, but being in the estate means we have the space we need for the heavy gear. The road can be a bit bumpy, especially after the rains when the potholes fill up. We don’t have a fancy office; it’s just a small room with a fan where we keep the records and take our breaks. Most of the day is spent out on the shop floor making sure the pours are going right. We don’t use any polished language to describe what we do. It’s just hard work in a dusty environment. We know the local guys who run the trucks and they know when to show up to collect the parts. There isn't much to it other than that. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the equipment stays in good shape for the next day.
