About Apex Alloy Cast – Metals & Minerals in Rajkot
We spend most of our time out at Plot No. G-1944 in GIDC Lodhika. It’s a busy spot here in Metoda, and the industrial vibe is something you get used to pretty quickly. Dealing with alloy casting means dealing with a lot of heat and heavy machinery every single day of the week. We’ve been at this for a while now, and the routine hasn't changed much over the years. The workshop floor is usually covered in sand and metal scraps, but that's just how a foundry looks when things are moving along as they should. Most of us here have been working together for a long time, so we know the rhythms of the machines and each other's habits by heart. Sometimes the furnace acts up or we have to wait on a shipment of raw materials to arrive, but we just find something else to do and get on with it. It isn't a flashy place by any means. It’s just a solid, functional shed where we do the work that needs doing. If you ever come by to visit, you’ll probably see us in our heavy gear, sweating a bit because of the intense heat from the pours. We handle the molds and pour the molten metal and then wait for things to cool down enough to handle. It’s a lot of physical labor, but there is something really satisfying about seeing a finished casting come out right. We don’t have fancy offices or air conditioning. Just the workspace and the tools we need to get the jobs finished.
