Space English Medium School

Space English Medium School is located in Jetpur, which is a bit of a drive from Rajkot. Most people around here know Jetpur for the textile printing and the dyes, but we are here to handle the schooling side of things. We decided to be an English medium school because parents wanted their kids to learn the language for better opportunities later in life. It is not always easy, as most of the families speak Gujarati at home, but we do what we can with the resources we have. The school building is a plain one, nothing too special to look at from the outside. We have basic classrooms with benches that have seen a lot of use over the years. We don’t have a lot of high-tech stuff, just the standard blackboards and notebooks. The atmosphere is usually quite busy. Teachers are always rushing to the next lesson, and the kids are always full of energy and noise. Jetpur can get quite dusty and hot in the afternoons, so we try to keep the rooms as cool as possible with old fans. We don't make big promises about being the most advanced school or anything like that. We just provide a place for children to come and learn the basics. Most of our students are from working-class families in the town. We just show up every day, open the gates, and get to work teaching the next generation.
