Smt D P Shah High School

Down in Sudamda, within the Sayla taluka of Surendranagar, you will find Smt D P Shah High School. We are located at number 63, and it’s a place that feels very much a part of the local landscape. Life moves a bit slower here compared to the big cities, and we like it that way. The high school serves a lot of students who come in from the nearby villages. Many of them walk or bike quite a distance to get here every morning. Our classrooms are simple and functional. We don't have any of those modern glass buildings; it’s just brick and mortar that has stood the test of time. The summers in Surendranagar are no joke, it gets very hot, but we all just manage. We’ve got a dedicated group of teachers who really care about the kids getting their diplomas. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we take it one day at a time. Sometimes the equipment is old and we have to fix things ourselves, but the teaching doesn't stop. Most of our staff have been here for a decade or more. We are a staple of the 363001 area. We don't put on any airs about being a top-tier academy; we are just a local high school trying to help the youth of Sudamda get an education so they can figure out their next steps in life. It’s hard work, but we like it.
