S.J. Thakkar Pharmacy College

The college is right here on Raiya Road in Rajkot, tucked inside Gyan Jivan Society at Chintan No. 3. It is not a flashy place, just a regular building where students come every day to learn about medicines and chemistry. We spend a lot of time in the labs, and sometimes the smell of chemicals is a bit strong, but that is just part of the daily work. Most of us have been around here for a while, so we know the local chai shops and where the students go for lunch when they have a break between lectures. It gets quite busy in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to class on time through the Rajkot traffic. The building itself is practical, nothing too fancy, but it does what it needs to do for the students. There are always boxes of supplies being moved around and posters on the walls about different pharmaceutical things. Some of the equipment is old, some is newer, but it all gets used. We have seen many groups of students pass through these halls over the years. Rajkot can get really hot in the summers, so the fans are always going at full speed. It is a quiet enough spot once you get off the main road and into the society area. People just go about their business, studying or grading papers without much fuss. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that, just some desks and classrooms.
