Shri K P Girls High School

Shri K P Girls High School is located right on the 60 Feet Road in Wadhvan, just behind the Gandhi area in Surendranagar. It’s a busy spot and we have been part of this neighborhood for quite a long time now. Every morning starts the same way with the girls arriving and the noise of the town waking up around us. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just running a school for the local girls who need an education. The building sits there on the main road and everyone knows the landmark. Inside, the hallways are usually full of chatter between classes but it settles down once the lessons start. We have our daily routines, like taking attendance and making sure the chalk is ready for the boards. Some of the rooms get pretty warm in the Gujarat sun, so we keep the windows open for whatever breeze comes through from the street side. It's a practical place. We don't spend much time on big speeches or polished presentations. Our focus is just on the students and the work they do at their desks every day. We see the same faces around the gate, parents dropping off their kids or picking them up after the final bell rings. Life moves along quite steadily here in Surendra Nagar. We just keep the doors open and do our part for the community as a regular high school. It is what it is, a place for learning. We have been through many exam seasons and rainy days here together.
