If you walk down Kotecha Nagar Main Road in Rajkot, you’ll find us right there. We have been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. Shri K J Kotecha Girls High School is a place where local families send their daughters. It is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street, but once the girls are inside the gates, things settle down a bit. The building is large and has seen many groups of students pass through its halls over the decades. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment, but we have enough for the girls to learn what they need. Our teachers are local people who understand the community. They spend their days going from class to class, trying to make sure everyone stays on track with their studies. In the afternoons, the main road gets really crowded with parents waiting to pick up their kids. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We try to keep things organized, but with so many people, it’s always a little messy. We focus on the government syllabus and making sure the girls are prepared for their final exams. It’s a practical environment. No one here is trying to be something they aren't. We are just a local girls' school doing the daily work of education in the heart of Rajkot, keeping things moving year after year for the students.
