Shri G P S High School

Our school is right in Dasada, which is a part of Surendranagar in Gujarat. It’s a typical village high school where everyone knows everyone else. The building has been around for some time and shows its age in a few places, but it serves us well. Most of our students come from the local farming families or shops in the village. Every morning, the day starts with a simple assembly in the courtyard. We don't have fancy air-conditioned classrooms or plush chairs, just the standard benches and blackboards. The teachers here live mostly in the area, so they understand the local life. During the break, the kids play out in the sun, and things can get pretty loud. We have a small office where we handle all the school business, from registrations to keeping track of the mid-day meals. It’s a lot of work for a small staff, but we manage. Sometimes the school bell is just someone hitting a piece of metal, but it gets the job done. We don't try to compete with the big city schools. Our focus is just on getting these kids through their high school exams so they have a chance at a better future. It’s a very grounded, plain way of running things, but it’s what the community needs here in Dasada.
