Shree Sardar Patel Vidhya Mandir (Dholra)

We started Shree Sardar Patel Vidhya Mandir (Dholra) a while back on Dholera Road here in Rajkot. It is a busy spot but we manage. Most of us here grew up in this area or nearby, so we know the families well. The school building isn't anything fancy, just standard classrooms and a place for the kids to play during break time. We spend most of our mornings getting everything ready before the buses and rickshaws arrive. It gets quite loud once the children are in, which is just how a school should be, I guess. We have a small group of teachers who have been with us for a long time. They don't just teach from books; they talk to the kids and make sure they are doing okay. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but we keep the place as clean as we can. Parents often drop by to ask about their child's progress or just to chat about local news. We don't have a big office or anything like that, just a desk and some chairs for whoever is visiting. It’s a simple setup. We focus on making sure the kids learn their basic subjects and behave themselves. There is always something to fix, like a leaky tap or a broken desk, but we get through the day. Life at the school is pretty straightforward. We open early, teach all day, and head home once the last student leaves. It is a lot of work, but seeing the kids grow up is good.
