Shree H N Shukla College

Our college is situated right near Lal Pari Lake in Rajkot. It’s a nice spot because you can see the water and it feels a bit more open than the middle of the city. We have several buildings on the grounds where the different departments are located. Most days start with students gathering near the entrance before their first lectures. The library is one of the quieter places here, though the shelves are always getting dusty and need a good wipe down. We have old wooden benches in some of the classrooms that have been around for years. The walk from the main gate to the offices takes a few minutes. We spend a lot of time handling paperwork and talking to students about their schedules. During the breaks, the campus gets quite loud with everyone heading to the canteen or just standing around in the shade. The weather in Rajkot can get pretty hot, so we appreciate the breeze coming off the lake when it happens. We don't have anything too fancy, just the standard labs and lecture halls you’d expect. The staff here has been around for quite a while, so we all know how the building works, even which doors stick in the rain. It’s a practical place for learning. We keep the gates open during the day and there is a lot of coming and going. It is just a regular part of the neighborhood near the lake and people often walk by.
