Sanskruti Handicraft

We are right at Trikonbag Chowk, just opposite the Khadi Bhavan. Sanskruti Handicraft is a small place, but we keep it packed with all sorts of things. The shop always smells a bit like wood and old fabric because of everything we have in here. Being in such a central spot means we see all kinds of people walking past our window. We spend a lot of our time unpacking new items and trying to find a spot for them on the shelves, which is getting harder and harder lately. It’s a bit messy, with boxes often sitting in the corner, but it’s a working shop. We don't have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Some days are really quiet, and we just sit and organize the smaller items or clean the glass cases. Other days, it’s a bit chaotic with everyone asking questions at once. The light coming in from the chowk is nice in the morning, but by the afternoon, we have to pull the shades a bit. We don't do much in the way of fancy displays. We just put the items out and let people look around at their own pace. It’s a simple way to run a business, and it seems to work for us here in this busy part of the city. We’ve been here for a long time and hope to stay for much longer.
