Anil Cermaic

Anil Cermaic is basically just us working out of the shop on National Highway 8-A. It gets really dusty out here on Ghuntu Road because of all the trucks going by all day long, but we’re used to it by now. My father started things here years ago and we just kept it going. We have stacks of ceramic tiles and items all over the place. Sometimes it’s a mess, but we know where everything is kept. Usually, the morning starts with us moving crates around to make space for the new stock coming in. It is not a fancy showroom like you see in the big cities. It is more of a working warehouse where people stop by when they are building something nearby. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the transport guys to show up. Some days the weather is too hot and we just sit under the fan near the desk. People from around the area know us by name, so they just walk in and ask what we have available. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure the orders get loaded correctly onto the tempos. It’s hard work on the back, lifting those heavy boxes all the time. But it pays the bills and keeps us busy. We try to keep the records straight in our old ledgers. That's about it for our small place.
