S N Kansagara School is situated on University Road in the Nana Mava area of Rajkot. It’s a busy part of town, so there’s always noise from the street traffic, but once you get inside the gates, things settle down a bit. We’ve got a good number of students here, which keeps the staff on their toes all day long. The hallways are usually cluttered with bags and different projects the kids are working on for their science or art classes. We try to keep things organized, but when you have hundreds of children in one place, a little mess is just part of the day. We have the usual science labs and computer rooms, nothing too extravagant, just the basic equipment needed for the lessons. The teachers are a mix of young folks and some who have been here since the school first opened. We spend a lot of time in the staff room drinking tea and figuring out the complicated schedule for the next term. It’s a regular school day for us—starts early, ends in the afternoon, and then we go home and do it all over again the next day. We don't have any grand claims or fancy titles. We just teach the subjects, manage the exams, and make sure the building stays in good shape. It’s a practical place for families in Rajkot to send their children for their studies, and we just keep the place running day by day.
