S. J. Thakkar Pharmacy College

If you’re driving down Kalawad Road in Rajkot, you’ll find S. J. Thakkar Pharmacy College right opposite the Drive In Cinema on Avadh Road. We are nestled near those N.R.I. Bungalows, which is a pretty well-known spot for everyone in the city. The college has been part of the landscape here in Gujarat for quite some time now. We’ve got students coming in from all over the local area to study their pharmacy courses. The building is designed with plenty of lab space because that’s where the students spend most of their time working. It’s not always the quietest place, especially when the labs are full of people working on their chemistry assignments. We have a routine of opening up the gates early and making sure all the equipment is ready for the day's classes. There’s a lot of focus on the practical side of things, so you’ll often see students in their white coats moving between rooms in a hurry. The staff here mostly consists of people who have been in the education field for a long time. We aren’t about big speeches or polished presentations; we just get on with the daily work of teaching and managing the campus. It’s a busy place with a lot of coming and going, especially with the main road right there outside our front doors. We just try to keep the labs running smoothly and the students on track with their studies until the semester ends.
