Reena Girls High School

Reena Girls High School is tucked away at 3/4 Sardar Nagar on Tagore Road in Rajkot. It’s a busy part of the city, and the school building is right there among the other houses and shops. Being a girls' school, we have a very specific atmosphere here. It’s mostly just the sounds of lessons and the occasional bell ringing through the hallways. We don't have a big corporate board or any polished marketing materials to show people. Usually, when someone wants to know about us, they just walk in and ask at the small window near the entrance. The rooms are basic, with chalkboards that have been used so much they are a bit grey now. We have some fans that rattle, but they do the job when the Rajkot heat gets to be too much. The staff here has been around for years, so we all know each other’s families and stories. During the breaks, the girls sit in the corridors or the small yard to eat their tiffins. It’s not a fancy place with high-tech gadgets in every room, but it’s where the local families send their daughters. We keep the records in big cardboard files and use simple pens for everything. It’s just a normal school doing the same things every day, making sure the students learn what they need for their futures. Most of the girls live within walking distance, so the street is full of uniforms every morning and afternoon.
