Mrk Engineering

You can find Mrk Engineering over on Gundala Road in Gondal. It’s a pretty straightforward engineering shop. We have some heavy lathes and other machines that take up most of the floor space in the back. The air usually smells like oil and cut metal, which is how an engineering place should be if you ask me. We work on a lot of different parts for local people and other businesses nearby. It isn't the cleanest work, and our hands are usually stained with black grease by the time lunchtime rolls around. Gondal is a decent town to work in, and Gundala Road is a good spot for us because people can bring their heavy equipment by without getting stuck in the center of town. We have a small wooden bench near the front where we sit when we’re taking a break or waiting for a machine to finish. The roof is made of corrugated metal, so it gets really loud when it rains hard in the monsoon. We don't have any big marketing plans or a fancy office. We just do the repairs and the fabrication as they come in. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a job if someone's machine broke down and they need it back fast for their own work. It’s just us and the tools, really. We’ve been at it for a long time and we know our machines inside and out. It’s a basic shop.
