Monghiba High School For Girls

Monghiba High School For Girls has been a fixture in Gondal, Rajkot for many years now. It’s an old-fashioned kind of place located in a town that has a lot of its own history. We are strictly a girls' school, and we take that job seriously without making a big deal about it or acting important. The building itself has a lot of character, and you can tell it’s seen many generations of students pass through its doors. We don't use any fancy management techniques or corporate strategies here. It’s mostly just the principal and the teachers making sure that the daily timetable is followed and the girls are learning what they need to for their exams. The courtyard is a main gathering point where you can hear the echoes of voices during the breaks. Gondal is a relatively quiet place compared to the big city, and our school fits right into that atmosphere. We have the usual challenges like keeping the old rooms cool in the summer and managing the crowd at the front gate when school lets out. There’s nothing particularly flashy about what we do. We just provide a consistent environment where the local girls can come to study and socialize with their friends. It’s a very human place with all the small imperfections you’d expect from an institution that’s been around for a long time. We just keep the lights on and the books open and wait for the bell.
