About Mit School Of Architecture – Education in Rajkot
Our place, the Mit School Of Architecture, is tucked away in the Metoda GIDC area over in Lodhika. Being out here in an industrial zone near Rajkot means things look a bit different than a regular school. You see a lot of factories and trucks passing by while our students are inside working on their drawing boards or building small models out of cardboard and wood. The dust from the road gets in sometimes, and it can get really hot during the Rajkot afternoons, but that’s just life in the GIDC. We spend a lot of time sitting around big tables, looking at blueprints and trying to figure out how to make things stand up straight. It’s not a shiny, polished office; there are always scraps of paper on the floor and the smell of glue in the air. Most of us who work here have been doing this for a while, so we don't mind the noise from the nearby units. Students come from different places, but they soon get used to the quiet nights and the busy mornings of Lodhika. We don't have fancy lounge areas or anything like that. Instead, there's just a lot of hard work and people trying to learn how to design buildings. It’s a practical spot for people who actually want to build things. We just do our work, drink some tea when we can, and keep the classes moving along.
