Lotus School

Lotus School is easy to find because we are right on the Rajkot Jamngar Highway in Paddhari. If you are driving between the two cities, you have probably seen our building. It is a bit of a dusty spot because of all the heavy traffic on the highway, but we are used to it by now. The school is a local place for the families living around the Paddhari area. We have kids who come in from the nearby farms and the small houses in the neighborhood. It is not a big school, which means the staff knows most of the students and their parents. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We do not have a lot of formal rules beyond the usual school things. We have a small playground where the kids play cricket or just run around when they have a break from their lessons. The building itself is simple, just a few floors with classrooms and a small office for the administration. We spend our days teaching the lessons, grading the homework, and dealing with the usual small problems that come up, like a broken chair or a leaky tap. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place. We do not try to be anything we are not. We are just here to provide a place for the local kids to study so they do not have to travel. The parents often stop by the gate to chat with the teachers about how things are going. It’s the kind of place where things move a bit slower.
