Krishna Science School

If you head down Gautam Nagar Main Road near the Bhaktinagar Railway Station, you’ll find Krishna Science School. Being near the station means there's always a bit of a rumble from the trains and a lot of people moving around. We’ve been at this Rajkot location for a long time. The school isn't some glass-and-steel modern building. It’s a practical space made of concrete and brick. We spend most of our time in the labs or the classrooms. There’s usually a faint smell of floor cleaner and old books in the hallways. Our desks are old-fashioned, the kind where you can still see where students have carved their initials over the years. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements. Most people know us because they live nearby or their cousins went here. The teachers here are serious about their subjects but they're also just regular folks who live in the neighborhood. We drink our tea together in the mornings and talk about the local news before the students arrive. The school day follows a set rhythm, and we don't deviate much from it. Sometimes the rain makes the roof leak a little in the corner, and we just put a bucket under it until it’s fixed. It’s just a normal school where science is the main thing we talk about every day. We keep it simple and keep working.
