Elpie Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is based at Survey No.170, Plot No. G-12, within the Chandra Industrial Estate. We are just off Gondal Road, which is a very busy spot for anyone in the engineering line. Our place is basically a large shed where we keep our heavy machinery and raw materials. It is always a bit dark inside and the air smells like iron and oil. We spend our days working on different mechanical projects and parts for other industries. There is no air conditioning or fancy lobby here. We just have a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. Most of our guys have been doing this for twenty years or more, so they know the machines better than anyone. We don't have a polished way of speaking or a brochure to hand out. We just show people what we have made and let the work speak for itself. Sometimes the Gondal Road traffic makes it hard for the trucks to back in, but we have gotten used to the chaos. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to make sure the parts we produce are the right size and fit the way they should. It is noisy, dirty, and tiring work, but it is what we know how to do. We just keep the gears turning every day and try to stay on schedule.
