Chirag Vidhyalay

Chirag Vidhyalay is tucked away on Street No 4, just off Bolbala Marg in the Hasanwadi area of Rajkot. It’s a neighborhood school through and through, and we like it that way. You’ll find us easily enough if you know this part of the city, as we are right there among the local houses and the small corner shops. We have a modest building that houses all our classrooms for the different grades. Since we are located right in a residential area, it feels very safe and familiar for the kids, many of whom just walk here from their homes a few blocks away. The mornings are always full of the sounds of children arriving and calling out to their friends across the street. We have a small courtyard in the center where we do the morning prayers and some basic exercises before classes start. It’s certainly not a massive campus with fancy facilities, but we make sure to use every single bit of space we have available. The teachers are mostly from Rajkot themselves, so they really understand the local way of life and the families here. We focus mainly on the basics of a good education, making sure every child can read, write, and do their math properly. We have a few computers in a small room, but most of our daily work is still done with physical books and pens. It's a very humble place where we just try to do right by the kids.
