Al Madina International Trade

The office for Al Madina International Trade is tucked away on Rapi Colony Road. Our official mailing address is Gpo Box 307 in Bhistiwad, which is where all our important documents and letters end up. Bhistiwad is an old part of the city, and you can feel the history when you walk through the narrow lanes. We handle a lot of international trade, which basically means we spend half our lives on the computer or the phone talking to people in different time zones. It’s not as exciting as it sounds. Mostly it's just checking prices and making sure the containers are loaded correctly at the port. Rapi Colony Road can get quite congested, so we usually try to get in early before the traffic peaks. Our space is filled with files and old ledgers because we still like to keep physical records of everything we do. We don't use much fancy software; the old ways work fine for us. Sometimes we have visitors from out of town, and we usually take them to the local tea stall nearby for a quick drink. It’s a small operation, and we don’t have any plans to move to a big glass tower. We like being in this neighborhood. The work keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday, and there’s always some new regulation or shipping delay to deal with. It’s just the nature of trading across borders, and we take it one day at a time.
